Into the Vanishing Prairies

This is a series of walnut ink works on top of watercolor, acrylic wash, of threatened and endangered flora and fauna. These are various sizes with the largest works on 22" x 30”on 300 lb watercolor paper. The images are "fading" and vanishing because these species are tragically fading from our natural world. After spending my childhood with my dad looking for rare species and then my dad making photographic accounts, these pieces of threatened and endangered species are very important to me.
